INTERESTED IN BECOMING A MEMBER OF DTG?
Membership in The Downtown Group (DTG) is only for practicing female attorneys and/or law students and requires the following:
PRACTICING ATTORNEY: Confirmation that the Black female lawyer is actively practicing in Harris County, Texas and its surrounding area and is licensed in good standing; $50 membership dues. | LAW STUDENT: Confirmation that the Black female is currently attending a law school in Houston, Texas; $10 membership dues. | SPONSORSHIP: Sponsorship from a current DTG member to join the organization. | SERVICE: Each member must serve on the host committee and coordinate at least one DTG Quarterly Luncheon every few years. |
There are two types of luncheons: (1) The “All About us” Luncheon, attended by DTG members only; and (2) The “Legal” Luncheon, attended by DTG members and their guests. Some luncheons are pay-to-attend, others are sponsored by the employers of our members. Information about DTG membership may be obtained from any DTG member. |
